Going head‑to‑head with a Bastion in Arc Raiders is one of those fights that really sticks with you. They’re huge, slow, and armed to the teeth, and that minigun will eat through your shields and HP before you can blink. You quickly learn it’s not just about pumping rounds into them – that armour laughs off most shots. You’ve got to aim for those weak spots, and when you get it right, it feels amazing. Felling one isn’t just satisfying though; it’s lucrative. And if you’re chasing the gear upgrades or crafting boosts from an ARC Raiders BluePrint, Bastions can drop exactly what you need.

They don’t stay in one place, but they definitely have favourite routes. In Blue Gate, check the tunnels beneath the Headhouse or the warehouses nearby. It’s tight down there, so keeping to elevated walkways or vent openings helps you line up weak‑point shots before the gun spins up. In Buried City, rooftops are your friend. Patrols run through Plaza Rosa and the parking garages, and the old‑town alleys are good spots to poke out, fire a few rounds, then duck back from return fire.

Spaceport can be tricky. Long sightlines near container yards and hangars mean you’ll want to use those stacks for cover as you track the patrol. Dam Battlegrounds is messier – the swamp around the Hydroponic Dome slows movement and can leave you exposed, so picking off a Bastion there means thinking about where you’re standing as much as where you’re aiming.

Bastions can blend into the wreckage if you’re not looking carefully. Scanning hangars, alleyways, or old districts before committing to a route saves ammo and your skin. If you see a shape on the horizon and aren’t sure, ping it – your character will confirm what’s out there. Avoid charging blindly; these patrols can surprise you, and being methodical keeps you alive.

Once you’ve figured out common spawn paths and learned the angles to hit those weak points, the fight changes. What used to be a risky gamble becomes part of your regular runs. And when you know there’s a good shot at pulling ARC Alloy, Motion Cores, or better yet, a Bastion Cell to pair with a cheap BluePrint, the chase is worth every bullet.
