Let’s be honest, Molten Gold camo in Black Ops 7 looks ridiculous in the best way, and if you are running around pubs or a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby without it, you kinda feel underdressed. The problem is the grind. You are staring at 250 headshots per gun just to unlock the advanced stuff, and that sounds fun for about five minutes. After that it is just a chore, so you need a plan that cuts the dead time and keeps you actually shooting instead of wandering around the map confused.
Rush The Campaign First
You might think the campaign is the place to start, but it is really not. You cannot bring proper custom loadouts, and while you can pick up guns off the floor, it is totally random. You will spend more time hunting for the right weapon than landing headshots with it. The smarter move is to blast through the story as fast as you can, ignore side paths, skip every cutscene you can, and just tick it off. Your whole goal there is to unlock Endgame mode, because that is where things finally line up with what you actually need for camo progress.
Farming Headshots In Endgame
Once Endgame opens up, that is when it starts to feel like a proper grind spot instead of busywork. You can bring in your own builds, so set up something stable with low recoil and a clean optic, then stick to Tier 1 and Tier 2 zones. Do not rush into the higher tiers just because they look spicy. Low-tier enemies have way less health, so you can chain headshots fast without dumping half a mag into every target. You are not trying to prove anything here; you are just stacking numbers. Pick one or two weapons, stay in the easier zones, and you will see those 250 headshots per gun appear way quicker than you expect.
Handling Weapon Challenges And Specials
After you clear the base headshot requirement, each weapon throws three extra challenges at you. This is where things get a bit awkward. Some guns ask for kills with very specific attachments, others want Fear Zombie eliminations, and that one can be annoying if you do not know where to look. When you need Fear Zombies, focus on Quadcore Site contracts. They are usually your best shot at finding those enemies without sprinting around the whole map hoping they pop up. Once all that is done, you hit the actual Molten Gold step: killing 20 special enemies. The fastest way I have found is spamming HVT Eliminations, because every HVT drops a Titan and that counts. Quadcore Sites work too, but they usually only hand you one special enemy halfway through the contract, so they feel slower over a full session.
Route Planning, Ammo, And Not Losing Runs
The part that trips most people up is not the aiming, it is the lobby timer and ammo management. If that timer hits zero, your session just shuts off and that run is gone, so keep an eye on it and do not get greedy chaining contracts when you know you are running out of time. Run two guns whenever you can. Keep your main camo weapon for the stuff that actually counts, then pick up a strong secondary from contracts to melt trash mobs and clear paths. When you are on the special enemy stage, try not to waste your camo weapon ammo on random zombies. Save it for Titans and other specials, especially if you find a route where HVT contracts spawn back to back. Once you get into that rhythm, the grind starts to feel less like punishment and more like a loop you can knock out while hanging out with friends or messing around in a lobby where people buy CoD BO7 Bot Lobby access for easy farming.
